The JACC Study: A large-scale population-based cohort study of middle-aged to elderly adults that aims to clarify the relation between lifestyle and health.

We are investigating lifestyles and serum markers related to cancers and cardiovascular diseases through a multi-center cohort study conducted at 24 facilities nationwide.

The NISSIN Project: An age-specific cohort of elderly adults that investigates factors related to living long and healthily.

This is a prospective cohort study of 3000 individuals aged 65yrs at baseline that investigates the relationship between lifestyles, lab data and their ensuing health until the age of 75yrs.

Randomized controlled trials of a home visit program for housebound elderly to prevent the need for long term care.

We are conducting an intervention study that aims to prevent deterioration of cognitive function in the elderly with the aim of reducing the need for nursing care services.

An occupational-based cohort study focusing on lifestyle and cardiovascular disease

We have collected lifestyle- and work environment-related data (including stress) from working adults, and are now investigating the relationship of this data to the ensuing occurrence of diseases, especially cardiovascular disease.
